What
advantage does Condominium Ownership Offer? |

|
There are some advantages
to condominium living.
Some are:
- It is more economical,
generally, than comparable, non-condominium
housing
- It offers a good
comparison value when compared to rental
accommodation
|
- It enables people
of moderate and middle incomes to own their
own homes
- It enables the
elderly and infirm to live privately without
maintenance chores
- It makes private
ownership possible in areas where land
values would ordinarily make this
prohibitive, especially in large urban areas
and cities.
- It eliminates some
of the problems of upkeep and maintenance
often associated with home ownership, since
maintenance is usually the responsibility of
a professional agency or manager
- It enables the
owner to participate in decision-making
which affects the property
Condominiums are
carefully regulated by legislation in most
Provinces of Canada and State laws in the
U.S.A. Always use a local Real Estate
Professional when buying or selling. Ontario is
governed by a New Condominium Act. Call Mike for
a brochure on "Buying a Condominium" in Ontario.
Go to
www.coreguelph.ca to register for all new
Condo listings in Guelph as they are published.
I can also
mail you a copy of "The Condominium Buyers
Guide" issued by CMHC, a great booklet for
both new and experienced Condominium buyers.
